Hi everyone, my name is Stevie Plissner! I am originally from a small town called Short Hills in New Jersey, but when I arrived in New Orleans four years ago, I knew this is where I should have actually been from. I just graduated from Tulane in May with a B.S. in psychology and a minor in Management. I am incredibly passionate about studying psychology and dream of furthering my education one day to become a Child Psychologist. I want to dedicate my life to working with children, specifically those with special needs.
For many years, I have been a babysitter, a tutor, and a camp counselor. Then last summer, I fell in love with my behavioral management internship at the Child Mind Institute in NYC where I officially decided this was the field for me. Standing at only 5 ft tall, I like to think I was born to be surrounded by children on a daily basis and am driven to make a positive impact in as many children’s lives as I can. After learning all about the values and mission of the Chartwell Center, I was eager to be a part of their team and to contribute to the amazing services they provide for the community. I have witnessed first-hand how life-changing therapeutic techniques like ABA can be for children and their families. I aspire to be a part of that beautiful change- especially in my favorite city!
